The Tufa Waterfall

The beautiful Tufa waterfall gives the impression of a human face as the tears of the different falls stream over its two eyes and gaping mouth. This is one of only 36 remaining Tufa waterfalls in Africa. A Tufa waterfall is a waterfall, where the calcium rich water builds the rock face over which it is flowing as the calcium and mud hardens into beautiful forms. As the Tufa falls, it is a delicate indication of the pollution and the human devastation of the African forest. One can say the face of this Tufa waterfall is weeping over the hundreds of destroyed Tufa waterfalls which are lost forever.
