Potluck Boskombuis

We have taken time to make a list and review the top restaurants in and around Graskop. Click here to view our recommended restaurants.

It has been said that Potluck Boskombuis is the hidden gem of Blyde River Canyon. And, this really couldn’t be truer. They offer a traditional setting in combination with a unique menu. There is no electricity there, so all food is cooked on an open fire.

They are located right near the R532 from the Blyde River Canyon on the way to Burkes Luck Potholes, hence the name. A vehicle with high clearance is recommended to navigate the rocky trail to the restaurant.

The restaurant offers an outdoor setting that is built in a rock wall. It is somewhat of a simple design, but it offers the most amazing views in combination with soothing sounds from the river nearby. The view of the eagles overheard won’t hurt the overall ambiance either.

Be sure to bring along a jacket because the breeze off the river might get chilly during certain times of the year and make sure you take cash with as they do not have card facilities!

Make sure you visit Bourkes Luck Potholes while you are in the area! It’s a 30min drive, but well worth it. Click here to find out why you should visit Bourkes Luck Potholes in our review.
